Trying to start a CT Play Money Tourney.

Apparently the only site that anyone could locate that would host a mult-table play money tournament was Wingos. I'm assuming that the best time for a tournament would be 9:00PM Eastern, since that's 6:00PM Pacific, which should allow east and west coast people alike to play if they work a usual 9-5. I also think it's the time that the weekly money tourney starts, so I'm assuming it's a good time on average.

I'm starting a poll regarding preference on the day of the week. Please only vote if you are interested in playing. Thanks.

Notes: I've never played at Wingows and don't know what their Interface is like or what kinds of bonuses they have. I would hold off signing up until we find out if it would be best to follow a specific signup link. So far, this is an unofficial CT tourney.

Update: The Wingows sales rep that offered to host the game for us said to use deposit code DPT2007 which includes a 999.0% deposit bonus up to $999.00 (I'm sure that tons of stipulations apply) if you deposit, so feel free to check out the interface. When registering, please mention that you were referred by user "UsIreland". That will allow Wingows to track us CT members and possibly have the chance to have a cash prize in the future.

It looks like Tuesday won and the tourney will be on Tuesday at 9:00PM Eastern.

In the Wingows client, this week's (01/30/2007) tourney is under "MULTI TABLE TOURNAMENT" from the Poker Lobby and then click on "All" from the Tournament Lobby and it's called "WingowsSponsored ChiTalk Private Tourney" and the password is "Paulson". It's tournament ID 200143666. It's in theory starting at 9:00PM, but it might have been scheduled incorrectly and might simply start when 10 players join.

This sounds like fun, the time works for me and I am on PST. Any weeknight at 6pm PST or later works for me.

Since the wife tapped the last funds from P*'s, and I just don't trust putting any more money in on-line, we have been relegated to Play Money Tournaments anyway.

yea, i would be interested as well, as long as the tournament was private. if there is enough members then we could probably put up prizes and such.

we could run a point system, leaderboard and all that too. sounds fun.

I don't know anything about setting up private games on any online poker sites ... but if you can customize the game's parameters (like the starting stack or the minutes in a blind level), a deep stack with nice long levels would be really cool.

I've never played Wingows, but do participate in a lot of play money tourneys on P*, UB, and PartyPoker. I've noticed a set of tourneys on UB called brainsturgeon that are play money but seem to be associated with brainsturgeon.com, a poker club of some kind.

I'm totally up for participating in this tourney!

Sounds like a good idea. My schedule varies from day to day so I would try and arrange around what ever is decided. I would think it would be harder to get people in on Fri and Sat.
