a2345 = nut low
straights and flushes don't hurt. any 5 unpaired cards under 8 make a low. must play two from your hand.

got it, any two cards can contribute to either the high or low.

correctamundo, you make your best low and best hi, regardless of whether they overlap.

Also, when comparing the low you start with the hi cards and not the low cards so
A2347 loses to 23456 and 65432 loses to 6543A but 65432 is still a str8 for a high.
