Crazy. A buddy I know that used to host poker games at his house every Wed. just won the $3000 Omaha H/L Bracelet. (Scott Clements) The good thing about that is that I'll get to see the new WSOP bracelets up close. Unreal.

That's if he doesn't pull the "WHO ARE YOU now that I am BIG TIME" card. You probably won't see him again. I'm thinking he'll be playing the circuit or moving to VEGAS.
BTW - Where does a just recently turned 21 year old get 3k to buy-in for something like that?
Hes actually 24. Im not sure If he's gonna move to vegas, hes got two houses here. plus he plays in my softball league. (he couldnt possibly leave that behind). Hes been pretty successful at poker for a while now. Although 300k is a ton of money, I dont believe it to be life changing for him. Last year he also won a 1k WSOP circut event in tahoe. ($45000). He's won back to back $10,000 paydays a couple years ago. He does quite well online too. Must be nice. 24, no wife, no kids, and just playing poker.

SNG satellites... there are thousands of them, most are around $50 to $100, I doubt he shelled out 3k from his pocket, even a lot of the pros don't anymore.
Actually I believe hid did pony up the dough for that tournament. He played in the main event last year and cashed. Hes playing again this year, but he DID win his spot online for that one.

Maybe not for him- but daum- 300 grand in MY bank account- and everyone would be getting free faux clay chips from palm Imports
