(Not sure if this info is listed elsewhere on CT, thought it might be of some use as well.)
Need all/any info for B&M and online qualifiers and satellites for all the events, not just the ME.

I can't speak for much, but i know full tilt poker has a 1800 person freeroll tourney that puts the top 36 into a 2nd step tourney of 1000. Win that one and you are in a WSOP qualifier tourney, win that and you are in.... so technically you could get a 10k main event spot for free if you go all the way. |

I should probably clarify that Im not just looking to get in free, rather a list of some of the lower buy-ins(under 500) for online and in casinos.
Ill continue with my own research as well.

PS also has FPP point satellites. FT has an entire page dedicated strictly to WSOP satellites.
I'm pretty sure speed satellites for $3 with re-buys are the absolute cheapest. |

Need all/any info for B&M and online qualifiers and satellites for all the events, not just the ME. | Pokerstars has $160 double shootouts. Win your first 9 person table and you are in the next 9 person table. The winner of that table gets a seat. The cool thing though is that places 2-8 all get their initial $160 back.
Cool way to give it a shot.
Take Care,

Take Care,
Couga | These are VERY hard to win. I speak from experience, and I have a good record in SNGs generally. To really have a realistic shot through shootouts, you would have to budget and play a bunch.
This is true for all of the satellite methods, but I mention this because the shootout method seems deceptively simple -- "All I have to do is win two tables and I'm in the big one!" Yeah, well.... |

P* also has a $33 + Rebuy ME satellite twice a day. 1 seat is guaranteed. typically has about 250 entries. 1st gets the ME package, and then something like 2nd through 8th, sometimes 12th gets $650.00. on the weekends, this game sometimes gets big enough to award 2 seats.
as far as cheapest? there are satellite paths at some sites that start as low as $0.05. that's not a typo - a nickel.
pick up last month's cardplayer magazine if you can. there was a feature section that went through all of the major online sites (and some of the smaller ones) and outlined all of their WSOP satellite paths, including those for the preliminary events.
now, if you want to be realistic and not try to win 15 tournaments in a row, this is what i'd look at:
$25 + rebuy satellite on P*. Winners get a seat in a $650 direct ME qualifier. the $650 awards one ME seat for every 17.3 entries. they have the $25 twice a day, and the $650 every sunday. they also have two $320 direct qualifiers each week (one ME seat for every 37 entries). if you can win the $25 satellite, cash out of the target tournament for $650 W$ and play the $300 event twice.
they also have an $80 freezeout satellite that awards the same $650 seat.
On July 16th, P* is having a huge $370 direct qualifier where they guarantee to give away 150 seats to the main event. you can also use the W$ that you win in the $25R or $80F to enter this.
the cheapest path on P* is a $3 + Rebuy event to win the $650 seat, but as you might imagine it's pretty hard to win this one.
speakeasy is totally 100% correct about the double shootouts. sure, you might get extremely lucky and win it, but you are more likely to play 5-6 of them before that happens. i met a guy at the world series last year (played with him in a satellite) who spend $4,500 playing the $160 DS and never won - and he was a good player.
