WELL I'M DISAPPOINTED!!!!! WE ALREADY HAVE A WINNER... MY CONGRATULATIONS TO HUNTERKING!
As before, this Contest will require a visit to the Collector's Corner forum (Casino and Collectible Chips sub-forum). A link will (or is provided) here:
http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/chip-c...tml#post259217
But the question appears here:
Pictured is a manufacturer's sample of an arrow and dice mold chip. The arrow and dice mold, defined as an alternating repetition of 12 arrows and 12 dice, is typically printed as: "ARODIE" in the catalogues.
The ARODIE mold is probably the most popular and desirable mold of all molds by collectors and unfortunately, the records and history of this mold are virtually gone.
The mold is found mostly with live-action casino chips of many Nevada casinos, but examples exist for other casino operations and private games use.
Modern-day chips are not made with the ARODIE mold.
ALL ARODIE mold chips share a common, visible, yet peculiar atribute. What is that atribute?
All answers must be posted at the thread linked above. Do not PM answers to me, and since this thread is locked, answers cannot be posted here.
Disqualified are the several people that I know to already be familiar with this atribute, so Ross, Couga and others I know to be active participants on thechipboard.com, you cannot win!
OK, what of the prize...
The winner, i.e., the first person to post the correct answer (I am the sole judge) will be able to select two blue chips from the scan below.
Good Luck!
Jim (Gaming Ore) Follis
