Possible CT chipset Tourny Monthly?

the New yorker Tourny was great, the guys that missed it surely want another one ran. i would like to play in again if people are OK.

I know we have the thrusday weekly, what about a once per month or so tourny for chipsets? maybe even other prizes?

10+1 and added 10-30 or so for the prizes, it doesnt have to be chipsets, maybe tables, sample sets, cards, etc..

Maybe the First Sunday of every month?? I think CHIPS should be the prize......afterall, this is CHIPTALK.

yea, its a great way to come across chips cheap. I need 3 jobs just to support my poker habits (not paying games, buying sample sets and random poker materials lol)

but i think these tournys will be more popluar. I will think about doing this in my live games as well.

First Sunday of every month works for me. Hey, looks like were having a tourney this Sunday

. I think we should stick with chips. I don't collect playing cards or any other supplies so chips works for me.

I think we should pick out some sets each month and vote on which one to play for. It would be nice to have a solid 20-30 people each tourney. One thing I didn't like about last night was playing short handed.

every P* tourny starts shorthanded unless it's a sng. no avoiding that.

well if the site aproves im sure we could get something going.. my p* account is new so i dont think i can setup any tournys yet.

i know theres interest in another new yorkers tourny. maybe we can shoot for a 500 set with 40+1 buyin.
500 set woild need 22 people or 23 inc shipping.
300 set would need 13 people or 14 inc shipping.

sounds like a great idea tho

It is a great idea but my problem is with all the group buys and custom chips that pass through CT it may be difficult to find that many people who need chips. I admit I am a little odd in that I do not collect sets of chips; I have one set of ASM's and since I can only play with one at a time I feel no need to invest in anything else right now.

But it would be a cool thing to start up so hopefully a bunch of people start posting and expressing their interest in this event!
