Chips: 1,555 | | | Re: The Chip Board Road To The World Series I've been a member of the CCGTCC for 4 years and can attest they are a great group of folks. I've played in a few of their tournaments over the last two years. They have some great poker players there as well.
Trust is what the CCGTCC club is based on and the weekly winners forward a portion of their winnings to a club member who holds the funds in escrow until the end of the tournament. The funds collected then go towards paying a member to enter one of the $1500 buy-in WSOP tournaments. If that player ends up winning enough to enter the $10000 Main Event then they are essentially obligated to enter that tournament as well.
If ChipTalk wanted to do something similar, we'd need to build a pool based on weekly winners donating to the entry fee. May be worth discussing. |

In the aftermath of a "crasher" to our earlier PokerStars games, it was decided to require players to be CCGTCC, Inc. members. (At that time we were playing for cash, which was managed by PokerStars, but we also had bounties (casino chips)

It is likely that I did not express what I meant very well, and I do apologize for that. However, what I was trying to say is that the games were set-up on PokerStars in the normal manner of a private tournament where having funds on-deposit with PokerStars was required, and the payment for the top finishers went to your PokerStars account. This is identical to what we currently do in the ChipTalk games. When I used the words "private cash games" I did not mean anything other than that. Evidently, those words do have a specific meaning (which I do not understand) but I apologize for the confusion.
Thank you,
