Chiptalk Allins, next move?

Howdy all. Back from vacation. Lost about a grand at the casino between cash games and tournaments. C'est la vie. Had fun, though!

More importantly, looks like we're still not having any success with things at Pokerroom. Too bad, I've mad a lot of money in a short amount of time at their $2/$2 tables. At this point, I think we need to ask the obvious question:

What should we do about our team?

Please vote in the poll and post your thoughts in the thread. If we do decide to give up, then perhaps the other teams could pick up a few players.

Re: Chiptalk Allins, next move?

First move is to figure out what is up with hunterking. He's not deposited and not responded. I think he needs to either be involved or replaced. And I think we need at least 1 more player on the team as well since these tourneys seem to require multiple players for multiple nites.

I still want to give this team thing a try........seems like we dont have enough "active" memebers but that may change now that were past the holidays.

Re: Chiptalk Allins, next move?

I'm not available to play for the next two weeks. After that, my schedule should free up. So I voted to hang loose for awhile, and see how things develop.
If you guys want to replace me, or disband and join other teams, I'll understand. Otherwise, I'm hoping we can get enough players together to try some games later this month.

Re: Chiptalk Allins, next move?

I would really like to play. But, alas, the Swedes won't let me. See other thread for my saga.

Otherwise, I would happily play, and I've made many, many attempts to do that. Don't know what else I can do.

Re: Chiptalk Allins, next move?

I'm just wondering.... if getting the needed number of players to participate in this is a problem, we could consider combining teams so that we can ensure we have enough players to participate in these events. I know that the 5-day events require 25 spots to be filled but realistically, it's damn near impossible to get committment unless you have a full 10-member team.

Re: Chiptalk Allins, next move?

Maybe I can join another team and see if I can deposit into the wallet, so that I can actually participate?

This is not an effort to bail on our Allin team, just to simply play in any team events...

If I hear no objections from the Allin team, then I will unregister from the Allins (again) and then one of the other teams can invite me aboard.

Re: Chiptalk Allins, next move?

Hmm, there's a thought. Why don't you try it and see what happens. Maybe if it works we can do a trade like sports teams do.

Re: Chiptalk Allins, next move?

I am hoping you guys can make it work because it is pretty neat; the team dynamic does change the way I play a little bit. Normally I am always going for the money and when it is down to the final three I am looking for a chance to gamble and get a big stack. Now that I am playing for a team and the goal is to finish high, I will pass up those chances in favour of a higher placing.

All things considered, it is a fun experience.
