I dropped from 2500 or so down to short stack at 1350 or so. Just a wee bit of aggression got me back in the game though. I think I pushed 3 or 4 times in a row before someone called. I had K6s and they had ... hell I don't recall but I think my K was higher and I doubled up.
Finished up 3rd. Small stacks and huge blinds makes for mostly a crap shoot.

Mike | Third is solid. Especially after coming back from your disconnect with half your stack gone. You were ahead with the K6s, you were called by QJo.
For the first round we have a first, a second, a third, an eighth and a tenth. Pretty good for our first day. We'll see how that stands up vs. the other teams.
Can't wait to play tomorrow. |

Chips: 1,555 | | | Re: Introducing the ChipTalk Tilters Well I had an early exit and let the team down. FInished 8th.
I had KK with two limpers ahead. I raise it up about 4X the BB and both call. The flop came up 8 7 3 and both check to me. I make about a 3/4th pot bet, the next guy raises me up nearly my entire stack. I couldn't call that. Down 1/3 my stack.
I sit out for 2-3 orbits with absolute crap when I get pocket 6's from the CO position. One guy min-raises ahead of me, I call as do both of the blinds. The flop misses me with 3 overcards. The BB bets all-in and I have to fold.
Another 2 orbits of absolute garbage when I get dealt A-K suited from MP3. Everyone folds to me and I make a 3X bet. Everyone folds. This turns out to be the ONLY hand I win.
A couple of aborted attempts to see a flop - seems the jam move is popular on this table. Suddenly I'm down to 1/3 my starting stack and looking for an all-in as Blinds are up and my stack is only a 3X bet. I get Ace-10 offsuit and push-in from middle position. Got 1 caller with Ace-Jack. Jack hits the flop and I'm out.
Sorry guys. Getting my Kings held up to gunpoint hurt me early. I vow to do better tomorrow.
I got to watch some great play by the 3 of you who finished in the top 2 or 3.
Looks like our Team finished 4th overall tonight! Not bad. TeamPSO took first place and has a big lead with 15 points. We have 5 points. So we're in the top 40% so far and not out of the money by any means. Hang in there.
Great job scottwire, megabit and 1sillyrabbit! for getting us points tonight!! | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
