Chips: 4,248 | | | Re: Introducing the ChipTalk Tilters I followed a bit of your progress and think that for the most part everyone that I saw was playing well; you cannot do anything about people sucking out on you and that is bound to happen but do not get discouraged. There are some good players out there and I am sure all the CT teams will start taking some games once we have made the appropriate adjustments.
Good luck tomorrow night guys!

Need to figure out the appropriate tags for the forum here to make it line up some day.
Broke out my comments by Chiptalk player for the next round. Let me know if this helps anyone.
Chiptalk Team Player Comment
SpaceMonk72 KamiKazE_ElitE B.Amazon Very aggressive early, went up quickly then out quickly. Rnd 2 Finished 10h
SpaceMonk73 Bluff Crew PokerJR123 No lasting impression left, Rnd 2 finished 7th.
butrflynlamb SouthShorePoker Craigb7777 Varied between agressive and moderate, gained a substantial chip lead and picked smaller stacks to play against mostly, Rnd 2 finished 3rd
1SillyRabbit InIt2WinIt godfather199 very tight player the whole game, when he played he had something. Rnd 2 Finished 6th
1SillyRabbit Team Toronto Toronto-416 pretty much let himself be blinded out the whole game, played something here and there but looked to be content with just not risking anything
chipper5711 Team Toronto WPTChamp2002 I think he finished 2nd on round 1 against Fins.
chipper5711 The Community justinkoz3 Varied I think, didn't read to much from him. Rnd 2 Finished 1st.
chipper5711 Total Donkeys Chadmw Chadmw no lasting impression left. Rnd 2 Finished 9th.

Chips: 1,555 | | | Re: Introducing the ChipTalk Tilters Here's the bottom line. We need to take 1st tonight in Round 3 or else we basically have no shot at the prize money. I think we are due as Pokerroom's card dealers gave gifts to the other players last night. Santa owes us now.
I'll be available again tonight to play. Hope we can get a full team going tonight. |

Chips: 6,831 | | | Re: Introducing the ChipTalk Tilters 5th for me. I've decided I don't much care for PR. Every event I've played we still have like 5 or 6 left with the blinds up at something like 200/400 and everyone has like 3 or 4K in chips. Total crap shoot who gets cards 1st wins. |

Chips: 7,798 | | | Re: Introducing the ChipTalk Tilters Second for me. I was playing good HU, but got AA, KK and KK with zero PF action. I finally get action on a good pot with JJ, A on turn vs A8.
Thanks for all the notes butr, I didn't take any tonight as I was on my Mac, but I did take some last night. They could become helpful as we continue to play.

Chips: 3,007 | | | Re: Introducing the ChipTalk Tilters I didn't really have time tonight to find patterns, or make notes tonight. I did have several people that were in yesterdays game, they did play in a similar fashion.
I was fighting the whole time to stay alive, I swear first and second had no intentions of playing each other until they were down to heads up play.
my last two games I have played extremely tight, It got me jammed up today though as the two big stacks took turns at me until I was out. I will continue to make notes for the future. (would we be able to have a locked thread, for just our team?)
I agree with Megabit on his comments, it does seem to reward an up front agressive player.

Card dead... got pocket tens... all-in against KTo... rivered yet again... doh
Keep thinking my luck has to change... get a river in the CT game, big a big stack then set over set starts my tailspin
Seen a lot of early agression so far.

Chips: 1,555 | | | Re: Introducing the ChipTalk Tilters I had another disappointing round. I managed to get into 3rd place early on but then went card dead for a long time. I decided to turn up the aggressive factor a bit but the timing of my move was all wrong and lost it quick to the chip leader who just happened to have it when I least expected it. Finished 6th.
I like the 3 night Quickie tournament format over the 5-day tournaments. I think it would be difficult to play 5 nights in a row. Three was almost pushing it for me.
I'll be around all of next week if the team wants to do another Quickie 3-day tourney then. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
