I know you could not play on both teams if they are playing each other, you would have to choose which one you wanted to play for, but would it be possible to be member of chiptalk and MSPatton's team?

Chuck | yes, you cna be on multiple teams (i think). mspatton pulled down his team. i'm still hoping he wants to participate, though. |

I have a Pokerroom account that I opened a year ago but never deposited to. I'll see if I can dust that off and get some $$ into it this week. I'll let you know once I'm set up and will apply to the team.
Thanks jojo for organizing this. Go Team ChipTalk!!!!
Still need to figure out how the share stuff works. Can I deposit or withdraw my funds at anytime from the Team Account? Am I playing with the Teams money when I play or is it still tracked to the player? Just need to be assured that someone else isn't going to blow my bankroll if I don't play that often.
Speaking of which, how often would we be expected to play in events and tourneys? For tourneys are all the events a $50 buy-in? If so - may be a bit too expensive for some. I need to read all the rules really good 1st... |

I am so glad I didn't volunteer to captain anything - I predict some bruised feelings in the near future.
FWIW, I think it's probably best to have a draft if we do indeed end up with more than ten players. I think it's only fair to the teams that everyone commit to really supporting this rather than just wanting to be on a team for the heck of it (and never actually being available to play).
That being said, I don't personally have a problem with the "A Team/B Team" idea. If we want to have the site put it's best possible team out there, that's the way to go. Fortunately, after looking over the Weekly Tourney stats and thinking about the play on there, we've probably got enough people to reasonably put forth 2 strong teams. Of course, not all our strongest players will want to be involved in this.

I need to read all the rules really good 1st... | first of all, no one but the team captain can make buyins. second...for each team buyin, you pair a share of the buyin based on the per centage of the team bankroll you own. third...you can pull out completely at any time.
if...(simple example)
jojo: $50
Var: $25
chipper: $15
Lego: $10
and we were to play in a $10 tournament: the $10 comes out of the team wallet like this:
jojo: $5
Var: $2.5
chipper: $1.5
Lego: $1
likewise the payouts. if we cashed $200 in this event, the payout would be based on our respective shares of the team "wallet":
jojo: $100
Var: $50
chipper: $30
Lego: $20
repeat...your money can only be used for buyins. it can only be used for buyins by the team owner (me...or another guy if there's a different team), you can pull your money any time you like.
all decisions about when to play, who to play, and for how much will be made by team members...i'm not interested in being a boss...
edit about how much we need: most buyins look to be $50. if we get 10 owners at $50 each, then we're each paying $5 per event (which would include a SNG per player). that seems pretty reasonable to me. |

Chips: 13,575 | | | Re: CT.net Poker Team! Calling all card players... Well, based on Jojo's explanations of how the team wallet works, I am no longer worried about people joining the team and not being able to play. Their money is in there working whether they are playing or not, so it's "fair".
Of course, having people on your team who play well becomes more important.
