collectors! Some time ago, the CC>CC has affiliated member Chapters, but needed to discontinue the affiliation doe to IRS constraints. Some of the Chapters continued as independent clubs, while others just faded away.
One of the fade aways was the Nor-Cal/Nor-Nev Chapter, but past member Raulin Mendonca is attempting to re-establish the group as an indepenedent club. Raulin advises that collectors and those interested in learning more about collecting casino memorabilia, in the general vicinity of Northern California and Northern Nevada are welcome attend a kick-off gathering this Saturday (28 Oct) as follows:
Per Raulin: "On Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006 at Dee Dee's Restuarant, 1170 So. Cherokee Lane, Lodi, CA a group of interested persons will hold a meeting to try to re-activate the club. The time is 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Anyone interest in chips and casino collectibles is welcome to attend. At this time, I have no details. After the meeting, I will try to put on a message with contacts, costs, and features. "
This invite is open and certainly applies to ChipTalk members with an interest in casino collectibles. My best wishes and support for a successfull re-establishment of the Nor-Cal/Nor-Nev club goes out to Raulin!
