Re: New Monte Carlo LV $5 House Mold

Ugh! Yawn....

Not so much the spots (agreed on the spray-paint) but the inlay.... It is possible to get any more generic boring-bland than that? I know there is the whole gaming commission requirements, but really (?) that doesn't mean you you have to dumb down your chips!

Makes me want to time-travel to, oh, I don't know... 1965, where casino chips looked great without being over the top flashy but not kill me now dull....

I've seen better looking chips here that were designed with MS Paint (no offense on that) than these chips (and NOT knocking metallic gold as a color... worst in the Paulson palette IMO though)....

Re: New Monte Carlo LV $5 House Mold

How about getting the inlay the same size as the indentation....

Inlay looks meh, and again the top hat trademark. I can't believe Nevada made them do that.

Does BCC have to trademark their chips also if they use a house mold, and what would that trademark be I wonder....

Wow.... Do they just want people to not bother with taking chips?? That'll do it.

I could have designed a better inlay with crayons when I was six! Actually, just about anyone could.

Re: New Monte Carlo LV $5 House Mold

That picture just saved me a trip to the south end of the strip. Perhaps I'll pick one up when I've collected all the rest - and this is the only one missing from my box.

Re: New Monte Carlo LV $5 House Mold

Mmmmm.... Also very bland.

Guess I'm glad the closest I get to Hard Rock is when I go to Hofbrau Haus, and it's not to enjoy the chips...

Re: New Monte Carlo LV $5 House Mold

The new $1 chip is on the Monte Carlo house mold just like the $5.

I like it. The mold is cool and the inlay seems 'balanced' with the TH&C at 12 o'clock.
