| Re: Question: How do you find out about new chip releases?
There is no single point of knowledge, but there are some sites that attempt to be a single source. In fact, this forum (Chip Release Announcements) attempts to be a source. Feeding in to it are several chip collectors, chip dealers and, in some instances, casino personnel who are familiar with new releases because they looking for them, run across them, etc.
I post new releases here, mostly from hearing about them from TheChipBoard.com, another site that prides itself on member participants posting New Release messages.
In Nevada, all chips and tokens need to be pre-approved by Gaming before release and Gaming publishes an Approval list each month. Atlantic City is not the same, nor are other Gaming jurisdictions, but there is a network of collectors that tend to share the information.
That network is that of the Casino Chip & Gaming Token Collectors Club, Inc. The CC>CC boasts some 2,500 members (World-Wide) and includes many people here on ChipTalk.net.
