Chips: 10,807 | | | Ellis Island, Las Vegas - $5 "Big Game Day" As announced on thechipboard.com by CC>CC member and Las Vegas NIS contact, Chuck Smores (aka: The Other General), the Ellis Island Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, NV has released a Limited Edition $5 chip to commemorate what everyone calls the Super Bowl Game.
Since the NFL strongly guards and defends it's copyrighted property, the term "Super Bowl" cannot be used with paying for it. There is a history of casinos issuing "Super Bowl" chips and having the NFL issue threatening cease and desist letters. The three have been the Tropicana, the Four Queens and Circus Circus. Most casinos use the terms: Big Game Day or Super Sunday for their commemorative issue chips for the Super Bowl.

Man that Casino is a hole. Anyone ever stopped in there? I visited it to try to get a couple $1 chips but they wouldn't sell them to me at the cage, claiming they didn't have very many and they were not for sale to take out of the casino. It was dingy and very worn inside. |

They don't play and leave as soon as they are done, but are known as regulars!
I'll have to try it one of these days.

I know that getting them at face value is better, but if you want them uncirculated, give Andy a call. http://www.nevadacasinochips.com/
