So when limited edition or holiday chips such as these are released, do the casinos have them in play and available before the actual holiday? We're heading to Vegas in November and we return from there the night before Thanksgiving. I'm not sure how many places do Thanksgiving chips (I've seen a Tropicana one before on Ebay), but I wonder if we'll be able to find any the day before the holiday? Any idea? Thanks! |

Last year the Harrah's organization (Rio, Harrah's, etc.) did a Turkey Day release. In fact, If I remeber correctly, the Rio had two different designs, one of which was a Finalist in the 2005 Chip of the Year contest.
Harrah's has done this several years in a row (Turkey Day releases) and they tend to put them out before the day. I suspect that this will repeat this year. No guarantee mind you, just a best guess!

We arrive there the evening of the 18th, I think around 7:30, so I'm not sure we'll make it to the show. I think we read in the CC>CC newsletter that it ends at 4:00 (or maybe it was 5:00?). It was a while ago when I read it, so I can't quite remember. Is that the sort of thing that will continue on even after it's officially closed? We wanted to make it by, if possible... |
