SCV or LCV? (I see both)

Hey guys -
I need a little help on this one. I've looked at it so long that I'm starting to see stars. Based on antiquegamblingchips.com/molddesign it says that I should be looking not only at the length of the cane, but also at the distance between the cane and the hat brim.

The problem is that I see both a relatively long cane, but also a small gap between the cane & brim. Now I'm starting to see my own reflection in the picture. Lol.

Your experience will be appreciated.
(attempting to load photo here ... Cross your fingers ... Lol)

PS - wishing I was in Vegas this weekend!

not the greatest pic, you need better contrast, but it looks like scv
I know they have a mold with one side scv and one side lcv

P.S. Sorry for the crumby picture. I took up chip collecting because I suck at photography.

Thanks, SCV was one of my top guesses. lol

BTW, whatt do you do for photos? I've tried scanning, and get great resolution ... But many of the colors don't look like the same chip. Especially the brighter pinks and purples. I borrowed my wife's camera for these, and get good colors - but ....

Would you suggest "digital manipulation"?

Thanks again!!!!!!

It seems to me that most of the die-hard chip collectors have scanners, and that Epson scanners generally produce the best colors. That said, I have an HP M1522 MFP with a scanner that produces great colors including bright pink, purple, and blaze orange. When using a camera, use the macro (flower) setting and plenty of light.

Re: SCV or LCV? (I see both)

SCV, no doubt.

The LCV cane is much more horizontal, and the lower tip does not come close to dropping below the bottom edge of the hat - leaving a much larger 'triangle' space at the bottom-left of the image.

take the shot at an angle that allows the light to contrast the hat and cane, or digital manipulation
