Unknown chips

Hi there

This is my first posting, so please bear with me. I own a coin shop in Cape Town, South Africa, and I regularly buy all kinds of tokens and gaming chips. Most of them are easy to identify, but I am stumped in this case. Can someone please help me identify the chips in the picture?

There are 3 red celluloid 1 pound chips, 1 orange 2 shilling chip, and 1 green 5 pound chip. The backs are without any image or denomination. These are quite old, and not in great condition. Are they casino or poker chips at all? I have sent a picture of these to the person who co-wrote the South African book on tokens, and he suggested that they were gaming chips.

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards
Nicola
