Can anybody tell me about these chips?

I am hoping someone here can help me identify these chips that were on ebay... auction link: Vintage Bakelite Clay Poker Chips approx 300 Pc NICE - eBay (item 230440633655 end time Feb-28-10 07:03:21 PST)

I am at a loss here. They look kind of like Paulson Top Hat and Cane mold minus the Canes, and they have the obvious dimples from injection molding(read: knock offs?) The only info that I could find was on this website: mold designs -- manmade objects
but unfortunately, even that info is kind of vague. I am hoping someone here can enlighten me to the story on these. I won them with the idea that worse case scenario, they make a good gift and best case scenario I can mix them in with a playable set without too much shame.

Thanks guys!

Re: Can anybody tell me about these chips?

These have come up many times before. The chips are considered Paulson knock-offs. The lind you posted to the molds is correct in for these as MD-75 hat no cane. They are injection molded plastic chips. The case looks interesting at least .

Re: Can anybody tell me about these chips?

Awesome... Thanks for info. Well, not awesome about the chips, but awesome for letting me know!

I figured as much. I planned on giving them to a family member if they had no real value and at 10 cents per chip with a case, it's not a bad deal. I will have to look at the case... I'm not sure I'm "feeling" that one either. Is anyone interested in a "lightly" used set of vintage Streamline Pinochle cards? LOL
