where are these chips from?

this is on a ebay listing, just curious are these chips clay?

They don't look it. Straight-up plastic to me. The way the inlay is shaped and the rounded edges tell me that they're injected, and that doesn't even spotlight the "graphics", which aren't all that hot. Looks like a knock-off of a dice chip, but that's just me.



See the swirls in the blue and green chips? I think that's the result of plastic cooling at different rates. You see that in a lot of plastic molded parts.

They are the same chips as those found in the Texas holdem kits that come in the aluminum tins. Also known as cardinal chips.
