[Midnight Rose]

Someone on HPT kindly gave me a $1 chip from Tinian Casino, and I'm trying to find out which company makes it. I'm guessing B&G, but hopefully Jim or someone else can say for sure. It's a heavily textured chip, which can be seen in the scan; but there are no identifying marks that I can see.

This is all I know about the casino, from what I could gather from their website: Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino is in Tinian, Northern Mariana Islands (a small island north of Guam) and is open 24 hours a day. The casino's gaming space features 250 gaming machines and thirty-seven table and poker games. The property has six restaurants and a hotel with 402 rooms.

With the cross-hatching it doesn't look like a B&G. Could it be Dolphin from Australia? I've only seen a few of theirs and they haven't been cross-hatched, but that's the only other brand I can think of for a Pacific casino.

Rose, I tell you I wish I had started collecting chips several years ago. We were stationed in Guam from 1999-2002 and spent a lot of time in Saipan. Tinian is just off the coast of Saipan and you have to take the shuttle from Saipan. I've been to the Tinian Dynasty a couple of times.

Quick history, Tinian is where the "Enola Gay" took off from for its bombing run to Hiroshima. A lot of great history over in that area. We hoping to go back.

I forgot about Dolphin as a possibility. Hmm.

I know exactly what you mean. It makes me sad when I think about all the missed opportunities, before I got bit by the chipper bug.
