I've heard a bit more from Charles Kaplan. He advises that he did make the purchase at Gambler's General Store, however, at that time GGS had a store within a store arrangement with a chip dealer by the name of Bill Aikmen. Bill and GGS owner had a separate sales agreement for Bill's operation and it was not as though GGS was selling Paul-Son made chips.

Bill was selling collector-type chips (onesies and twosies). Bill did this for a period of time before moving elsewhere. Bill now has a presence on eBay.

It was also discussed that these chips may have been from a casino that never opened, much in the same fashion as the President New Yorker. But there is no confirmation on that.

Can't comment on whether they were fantasy or not, but I had around 100 $5's and $25's of these over a year ago. They were sold by DFlemming. There was recently a set of around 900 of these. I had to resist, love these chips.

Probably the best looking $25 chip I've seen. I sold off the chips I had because I wanted more of the $5's and couldn't find them. Plus now have too many cash sets and only host tournaments.

It took literally every ounce of restraint in my body to not buy that 900 chip set. It was the perfect 2/5NL cash set.

Now, I wish I had bought it.

I bought these for the $25's and would like a few more.
No one still knows for sure if these are fantasies or not.

The Dunes $25's look sweet but are to costly.
