Chips: 862 | | | Value Needed Can someone give me a value of this chip... New York New York
I have been bidding on these over and over for the past two weeks but keep getting outbid. Each time I have raised my bid amount but as you can see even on this one it has already gotten up to $36.

Not sure what to say here... TCR (The Chip Rack) lists the Grand Opening chip at about $60. But also lists quantity as 10,000! I'm not sure if thats a typo, but 10K of a limited edition chip is extreme!

Over on thechipboard.com I posted a question trying to confirm the 10,000 quantity. No confirmation just yet, but CC>CC member Joe Dolce posted a reply stating that he sold that chip (he is a chip dealer) at the Convention for $22. Here is a link to that message thread. You will see Joe's email addy there, I suggest you contact him. To me that's a fair price for that chip. http://www.thechipboard.com/cgi-bin/...es;read=542823
Good luck,

Chips: 862 | | | Re: Value Needed $22 huh? Up until that last one that I got outbid on I was bidding around $18. So now I can make a more educated bid and if I win or don't win so be it.
Again, thanks for the info! You really do go out of your way to get information for anyone on CT that needs it.
Also, I just ordered TCR from Tyrusrex today so it should be here in a week or two. Quote: |

Chips: 10,507 | | | Re: Value Needed It seems that 10,000 is correct. According to Gene Trimble, CC>CC member, they released 5,000 in January of that year and did a re-order of 5,000 in December of that same year.

Chips: 121 | | | Re: Value Needed Wow, I was watching this auction and was amazed on the final price. I have one of these and would gladly sell mine for that amount... Any takers?? Just kidding. Its hard to belive that with 10K of these out there that you would see more for sale. Got to love supply & demand! These werent used in the casino were they? $10 is an odd denom, NYNY has the typical games no poker but BJ 3 card etc... Jim??? Quote: |

Chips: 4,524 | | | Re: Value Needed I paid about $25 bucks for mine with 2 1st year anniversary chips, total $75.
I've seen them listed for $25-50 each. Although I saw one go by for $9.99 about 3 weeks ago.
