Hey Har!!

Scans!!! Some of the chips have related issues. The Paul-Son fantasy chips are generally $1 - $5, as are most fantasy chips.

But I'd need to see scans of the others.

Re: Just aquired a small collection. Would like some help

i've tracked the prices of crystal parks for almost 2 years, so i can give you my general opinions. though the demand for this particular set seems to have gone down significantly in the last year.

$0.50 - these are pretty hard to come by. when they show up on eBay, they typically fetch $3+ each

$2 - there are at least 2 versions of this chip. the more common version typically sells for between $2.50 and $3.50. the more rare version is more like $5-6. i think i have pics of them all, but you could surely look them up.

$3 - these very rarely (if ever) sell for less than $3.00

$10 - these almost never show up. when listed as a single chip, i've seen them go as high as $12, more typically around $8.50.

$25 - there are 2 versions of this chip as well (not including the "Year Of" series, and the "Opening Night" versions - both with grand inlays). the more common version has 8 split red edgespots and typically goes for $6-8 depending largely on the condition. the less common version has 4 split olive colored 1/8" spots with a red spot between. these are worth slightly more (maybe $1 difference)

$100 - drilled? don't have a lot of data on these, but i want to say $6-8 each. if you somehow have one that's not drilled, you're talking a lot more

$1,000 - i've NEVER seen one of these that wasn't drilled. again, i don't have a lot of data, but the sales that i do have recorded were in the $10-12 range. all of these have a serial number on them. for some silly reason, if the serial number is like 1000 or some other round number, people will pay more.

by the way - i might be willing to take that $10 chip off your hands

hope that helps a little,
gw-

Re: Just aquired a small collection. Would like some help

Congrats on the not so "small" collection!

I would say Gwilkx is very close on the Crystal Park prices. He knows his stuff.
I can add a few extra bits of info on them.
The $1000 chip has an alpha dot on it in addition to the serial number. (so does the $500 chip for that matter)
All of the $100 chips that I have seen have NOT been drilled. Most of these are in the $8-$10 range.
The $10 chip is tough to find and should go for $10-$12.
The hardest chips to locate in the set are, in order of hardest first:
$5000 chip (I have only seen 1 ever! and I think Gwilkx has it)
$500 chip (I have seen only 10 of these in the past 3 years)
$1,$2,$3,$5 variant chips (all have non-standard edgespots)
these seem to be few and far between.
$10 chip
$20 chip
$100 chip
$25 chip (I have seen a lot of these at times in both versions but only 1 version at a time)
$3 chip
$2 chip
$1 chip
$5 chip

Some one please let me know if I am off on any of this info.
And if you want to sell any of them and Gwilkx passes let me know.

Cyna -

p.s. Gw.. I have in my hand a MINT UNDRILLED $1000 chip and a matching (same serial number) $500 chip..

These are not drilled, but seem to have a little read insert. Maybe lazer lock or RFID Tag. It makes it appear to be drilled on quick inspection.

1706 and 1815 Same thing as the "drill" mark.

Thanks for your help guys.

No scanner, I'll have to post pics.

Re: Just aquired a small collection. Would like some help

I have quite alot of the higher denom CPs, and have never seen one
drilled.

The $100s with grey and beige edgespots are typically $10.00, a buck
or two higher for the $100s with red and pink edgespots.

There are two variants of the $500s (peach/orange and red/green) as
well as the $1000s (navy&gold/green and Lime&teal/black). All would
fetch anywhere from $15-$20 depending on condition. Lower serial
numbers on the $500s and $1000s will sometimes bring higher prices.

Just for a correction, as far as rarity goes, after the $5k chip, the $20
chip would probably be the next rarest.

I'd pretty much agree with the other prices quoted.

Cheers,
AK
