Chips: 41 | | | Third Reich/Nazi/Swastika Clays I am truly hoping not to offend any sensibilities here, but they are what they are. True clay, authentic, a real piece of history. Great shape, very minor scratches, no flea bites or flaws. Nice chips.
Any ideas?

They aren't nazi chips, these were apparently pretty popular until the rise of the nazi party when most in existence were destroyed or thrown away. The swastika has been around for a loooooooooooong time.

These were made in the 1920's timeframe by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC), which continues to exist today. They pre-date the Nazi movement and NO MATTER WHAT YOU SEE, IN ANY EBAY OFFERING, these have no affiliation what so ever with that movement.

Chips: 41 | | | Re: Third Reich/Nazi/Swastika Clays Jim,
No worries with eBay as they won't let you sell nazi/swastika stuff. I am well aware of the provenance of the symbol. Didn't have any idea about the chips except that they are real and old... actually, older than I thought which is good. Nazi stuff does not have the value that people think for the most part, plus, it is hard to sell. So, any idea on value?

I do not have my reference material in front of me, but, as I recall, these are catalogued in Seymor's Guide to Antique Chips and I believe they are valued at around $5 each.
If this is not correct, I will 'edit' it later.

The day has four: early day, late day, early night, late night. Everyone can see the seasons immediately.
The good luck symbol was someone other than my ancestors but yes, it's meant to symbolize luck, especially when there is a dot centered inside each of the arms. I believe the eastern europeans use this. Checks (sp), Russians, etc.
