Top Hat (No Cane)

I took a little risk and I bought these thinking they could be Paulson's.

Well they're not. The are plastic with the word "Resorts" on one side.

They seem to be injection molded as soon of the hats have the injection dot. Does anyone else have any history on who made them? Value would be nice to know too.

I'm going to be letting them go as I don't really see myself using them.

Thanks!

Re: Top Hat (No Cane)

These have discussed at CT several times and I don't believe they are worth much.

Try the search for more details.

Or GamingOre will be by shortly, I believe he commented on them last time they came up.

Chinese H&C knock-offs...cheap chips, not worth much at all.

Sorry to disappoint, but I do not recall commenting on these defore. I have some blank chips that pretty much match the description given, but mine are like a hardened plaster, not plastic. No canes, just the hats.

I've not presented them to the collecting community yet, as I've been busy with other things. I will do so at some time in the near term.

As for the auctioned chips, I am confused why the seller associated the "Resorts" hot-stamp with the Aladdin.

Well, thats about all I know.

Sorry about that then. I remember someone talking about them before and probably just assumed it was you.

Check this link. I read another article about these saying they are very light and plasticy.

Didn't see me there!

My blanks are heavy. I'll have to pull them out tonight and scan them for you.

I know that now, guess all this ChipTalking is starting to cause memory loss; ah who cares.

You are absolutely correct! It turns out that these chips are lighter! And plastic-like!

How embarrasing!
