Protege ELIGIBLE VOTERS

In the chip color/edge spot voting polls, with only a small prize, ballot stuffing was not really a concern (especially considering inlay finalists have the ability to tweak the edge spots and colors). In the inlay portion of this Protege contest, with the winner getting a fee for design services approaching a retail value of $1500, I think it's prudent to put in place certain protections to ensure fairness for all contestants, many of whom have put in an enormous amount of time and effort into their inlay design submissions.

As such, the following 155 CT members will be the only eligible voters in the inlay face-offs. These 155 members represent the universe of members who voted in all of the color selection final votes, minus any of those that had less than 5 CT posts lifetime (removed 21 "non-active" members, 10 of which had never made 1 post on CT).

Here is the list of eligible voters:

During the inlay face-offs, the vote tally's will be checked to ensure no ineligible members vote. And ineligible votes will be subtracted from vote totals.

If any CT member feels they were unfairly omitted from this eligible voter list, please make your case here publically before the July 17th (and it should probably be a pretty good one - as in, "I have been a CT member for 2 years and have 1000 posts", or "I founded CT", etc...)

Re: Protege ELIGIBLE VOTERS

I think this is a good idea. I was wondering how you were going to get around any ballot box stuffing. I noticed some mystery voters in the other contests too and wondered about them.

Re: Protege ELIGIBLE VOTERS

I am delighted to be on that list, but I'm going to be away from my computer for the next two weeks, so I guess I'll be coming home to the result.

I can honestly say that this is one of the most interesting and impressive periods in CT's life so far.

Good luck to all concerned!!!

Re: Protege ELIGIBLE VOTERS

I think it would be prudent to remove the "winner as a result fo x % of votes" for these rounds of voting. I understand that it was important to move things along in the color/edgespot portion of the design process. However, I think each inlay deserves a set amount of time for each voting round (i.e. 24 hours). I also suggest each round start at approximately the same time.

I'm sure Sidepot already has this planned. He's done a fantastic job to this point.

When can I order? Oh, that's right, I better get some cash together.
