Protege Final Submissions POSTED STARTING NOW

Final Submission Date: Midnight Monday, July 17
(once you've made ALL of your changes, please PM your final graphics to both Sidepot and Tenpercenter)

NEXT STEPS:
Once all submissions are in we'll have a general election poll to establish the seeding for the face-offs. No entries will be eliminated in this general election round. It's just for seeding. Thereafter, face-offs will begin and we'll narrow the field down to a final 3 contestants + 1 additional "Final Four" contestant that Sidepot may opt to include in the "Final Four" group.

Notes on Final Submissions:
Final Submission Format: Final inlay submissions must be on the default chip edge spots and colors (later on during the competition, designers may tweak the colors and edge spot should they choose). Final inlay submissions must be made utilizing the Chip Factory on Sidepot. Please follow the instructions for uploading your inlay graphic to the chips. The chip factory is located at: http://www.sidepot.com/poker_chip_factory/tool.html

"Final" Submission Deadline: New submissions from CT members will be accepted after July 3rd, and existing submissions may be changed, up until midnight PST Monday, July 17th. At that point, all submissions should be in a "Final Submission Format". New submissions should be PM'd to both Sidepot and TenPercenter, whereupon they will create a thread for that submission. Modifications to existing submissions should be done within that entries exclusive thread. Submitters can make any changes they like, and make take suggestions from the community.

************************************************************************************

That's all the final submissions that were received. The following contestants failed to submit a final submission, and I wasn't able to piece together a "final submission" from what was contained in their threads. Unfortunately, as a result, these four contestants are the first four casualties.

Protege Contestant #7: Rowlin
Protege Contestant #16: OnTheButton
Protege Contestant #19: PinataUT
Progete Conestant #24: Michael000

Everyone else... welcome to the top 20! The seeding vote will initiate shortly.

Re: PLEASE READ: Protege Final Submissions & Next Steps

Sidepot,

Since we are submitting 9 chips and the Chip Factory only displays 8, is there a perfered method or layout that you would like the chips submitted in?

Clayton

The only requirement is that it's done in the Chip Factory. How you display them is up you you, but for the purposes of voting, the less vertical space you use the better, so here is the official "preference":

# # # #
# # # # #

or something like that with the last one (NCV) centered vertically. Sound good?

All right, to state the obvious, for us east coast idiots, that deadline means
3:00 am EST Monday morning the 17th?
Or 3:00 am EST Tuesday morning the 18th?
These midnight deadlines make it fuzzy.......

Yes, 3am EST, if you want to be exact on the deadline. The reality is that when I roll into the office on Tuesday morning, I'll collect all of the final submissions and we're onto the next step. If someone sends in their final submission while I'm putting the next step together, I'll probably include it, but that's taking a really big & unnessary chance

Re: PLEASE READ: Protege Final Submissions & Next Steps

I chose not to devote as much time to the inlays as the edgespots. I think I did at least glance through everyone initial submission. I'm *very* impressed by what I see from just these 3 entries. You are going to have agreat product, Sidepot.

Thanks for all of your participation along the way Hopin2steal, and I hope to see you participate in the voting rounds on these. Should be interesting. These guys have done a great job, and there are many other outstanding submissions coming.

Re: PLEASE READ: Protege Final Submissions & Next Steps

Hmm, somehow my 25cent chip got the wrong spot pattern on it! I'll correct this tonite and resubmit the proper configuration. I'll also put it in the 3x3 layout to be consistent with the others.

Re: Protege Final Submissions POSTED STARTING NOW

I just want to say to the designers how impressed I am with their chips. I really will have a tough time in some of the voting. When we started there were only a couple that I liked, but after all of the great feedback, the designs were tweaked (for the best) and I like quite a few of them. Sidepot will have a great product to sell

Thanks to sidepot for running things so well also.
