Protege Contestant #16: OnTheButton

"The Club" was inspired by our recent trip to Las Vegas where (I believe) next the the Mandalay Bay casino resides "THEhotel".

The name for this imaginary card room seemed to fit the guidelines, of generic yet classy but not theme specific or reliant. However its name also merges together a place that may be connotated as both a private room and implies card playing in just two words.

Re: Protege Contestant #16: OnTheButton

It is a good, simple design. Although I think the font gives more of a laid back feeling. Also I think the denom numbers should definitely be larger by ½.

I like the denom in words as is - off kilter from 6 o'clock to 3 o'clock.

My coments are directed to the first set, which I prefer.

Re: Protege Contestant #16: OnTheButton

I love the graceful, simple outlines suggesting the club (I'm a big fan of minimalist design), and the off-center demonination text is fantastic.

Of course, the irony of making the above praises -- given that my own design is pretty much the antithesis of this, with everything completely symmetrical and complex -- is not lost on me. But I stand by every word I say here.

Very nice design!

Re: Protege Contestant #16: OnTheButton

I like both designs a lot, but prefer the second. It's a personal bias thing, as I have worked at a place that we called "the club." If anything, I might make the outline of the club symbol a little more pronounced on the second set. The orientation of the lettering looks great.

I really like this design, but agree with FL70 that the numbers and printed denoms need to be larger. Great job!

Nice job! There is just something that is graceful and appealing even in such a simple design.
