I like the design and agree it may be a little plain. Wondered if the circles surrounding could change with the chip to compliment the shape of the inlay. The denoms are a little small. Might be nice to have something more intricate on the obverse & have two designs.

I also think there's potential for varying the design to fit the inlay shape (and probaby increasing the demonimation size), but there's a lot of potential in this design. Simplicity and elegance go hand in hand.

this definitely has potential. the 2nd mock-ups are an improvement, in my opinion. I would try to apply two colors per inlay, on top of the white background.
Some of the old Tropicana inlays had a mere two colors, blue and red, but they managed to compliment the base and insert colors well.
