Chips: 4,044 | | | Protege Contestant #9: BrakeDust What the heck. Here is my submission. I think the idea is ok, but it could use some artistic help. Maybe I will get it during the discussion phase.
This first post represents the "original submission" only, and enables the initiation of the discussion thread on this chip submission. This thread now belongs to BrakeDust, and he may use his first post within this tread to post updates/changes to his submission, which will ultimately be the design of his that gets submitted into the voting rounds on July 17th.
Feedback, comments, & constructive criticism encouraged! |

1) Does anyone like the concept of "World Class Poker"? If not, then I guess the rest of the questions don't matter.
2) Is the concept of increasing "value" images for the increasing value denoms appealling?
3) I am not married to the fonts, so if they are a problem please let me know.
4) I have very thick skin and this is my first attempt to ever to something like this, so please let the comments fly.
Thanks for looking and commenting.

And I can already hear some dope saying 'why does it say wpc if its World Class Poker? Shouldn't it say WCP?'

Chips: 741 | | | Re: Protege Contestant #9: BrakeDust I like the concept of World Class Poker, but I wouldn't say I'm sold on it. But that said, I don't think your entire design necessarily hinges on it. Hell, you could just go with the initials and leave it up in the air as to what they mean...
I do like the varying images (and increasing values) -- I might suggest line-drawing representations rather than photographic ones, though.
Really nice work, though! |

Chips: 11,925 | | | Re: Protege Contestant #9: BrakeDust I would agree that line art might look better than photos... A name change is in order as well. The benefit to line art, is you can draw them all in the same style so there's a little more cohesion (sp?) to the set. Great start!

Brake | My take is the imagery is a little too in your face - even if it were drawn out by a serious artist. I think something more subtle is where you want to take your chip line. And you're in the running so you can change anything you want. |

I think I am going to drop the images all together and do some work on a better looking globe (which I already have as a background). I like what you posted in the other thread Sidepot, and I may go more in that direction. |

Chips: 3,610 | | | Re: Protege Contestant #9: BrakeDust Here is a revamp of the 100. Still rough perhaps, but changes based on feedback and suggestions. Comments welcomed. Even considering dropping "World Class Poker" altogether and just enlarging the globe with denom. |

Chips: 14,015 | | | Re: Protege Contestant #9: BrakeDust Nice work. I think I'd reduce the opacity of the globe a bit (between 50-70%) so that it isn't burying the denom.
