I love the brown/yellow cigar wrapper idea. Amazing work. It would do well on shaped inlays or round ones.
It would be interesting to see the textured brown inlay background coloring from the two bottom chips on the first set shown, and to see the other seven denominations with the bottom inlay style. |

Chips: 2,016 | | | Re: Protege Contestant #3: Fins Very nice Fins. I occasionally smoke cigars so I really like them but I'm not sure if the cigar wrapper concept would be appealing to the masses. Having it on the label just stands out much more than the mold. |

Chips: 741 | | | Re: Protege Contestant #3: Fins I'd actually stay away from the brown backing on the inlay shown in the bottom design -- it's going a little too far into suggesting the cigar label. (Just an opinion, of course!)
But very nice in terms of simplicity and original logotype! Great job! |

For example, the black & yellow of a Cohiba, or the gold & red of a Romeo & Julieta... Lots of potential for some awesome colour combos. Perhaps to brek up all the brown (which I like) try a ring around the edge...

It would be really cool if that stripe (red in the 5) were the color of the chip base it is one so they would all blend away like that. |

The Card club logo is slick. Very nice design! |

Very cool, but I think it might go over everyone's head, especially the general chip buying population on a 5 minute site visit. |

I was going for generic appeal and want the logo to be more subtle but hadn't thought of a way to bring interest to the chip without it being the only focus. Might make a good simple hotstamp with a denom though. Pretty rough still. The club bkg helps get the point across though at least according to the lady of the house.
I don't really care for the name but it was a good # of charaters and thought text looked good there.
I had no intention of doing a cigar label design but liked the logo and was at a loss for how to incorp it... still messing with it.
Thanks for the comments & criticisms and always appreciate suggestions!
