nice. i've always been a fan of writing out the denoms.

OMFG - what a first set to see.

I like the theme, the absence of numbers in the denominations, and the use of symbols on the chips.

Pros:

• thin color band around the inlay
• written out denoms

Cons:

• thin color band around the inlay...looks great, but will it work with shaped inlays?
• not a big fan of black backgrounds

I think this has potential also. I think black will be a problem. If you could find a solution to that I think you may have a winner.

I agree with previous posters regarding the black. I think it dominates the chips. Maybe use some color variations based on the base/edge colors.

I do like the pegasus and variation on the fleur-de-lis a lot.

Possibly make it just Avalon?

I agree on the background color as well. I think a lighter/white background with the pegasus somehow matching each particular chip would look great.

I really like this design, though.

Nice choice of imagery (both literally and in terms of inspiration), nice execution. I might also suggest that the black background may be problematic, but I'm not as convinced of that as some.
