Can't take all 36 chips into the face-offs, so we'll only advance those chips that "pulled their weight" (get more than 1/n percent of the total votes cast, where n=number of contestants in each bracket, or 9 for these polls) in each of their brackets. This will get us down to a Sweet 16 of contestants. Not a flawless system, but we've got to pick a path. I naively assumed anybody who voted in one poll would vote in them all

. Did they not see the other polls? Did they not vote in them because they simply didn't like any chips from a given bracket? Heck, some people voted in the thread instead of the polls - what's that about (an no, I didn't manually double check against the poll votes and count each of those in)? Anyways, it's hard to argue that taking the top 16 percentage vote getters is less fair than any other approach.
