Re: Results (AND DISCUSSION) of Edge Spot Configuration Votes

Woo Hoo!
All my spots made it to the second round!
Must be on to something..... three spots rule.
For simplicity's sake, concentrating on the three's seemed to help me avoid the trap of looking at every single offering.
Not to say the the four spot set wouldn't look killer either, just don't like the fours...

Now, the shaped inlays definitely help out in differentiating using only four options of three spots patterns. Still lots of combos available.
And I haven't even done the colors yet............

EDIT don't forget that tweener spot chip, sidepot.... still an option?, you know, # 9 with A,B,A colors instead of A,B,C colors on a D body chip....

After all the re-designing and voting, I think I'm gonna just withdraw from the procedure.

Good luck fellas.

i'd be very happy with this. only thing i might change is switching the $500 and $1000. or if you keep the $500 the same, make the outer two spots the same color.

I disagree completely. Look at the Euro

Lower demoninations are smaller and less intricate. I think it's safe to say that it would be very odd to have a €5 note that is larger and fancier than the €100 or €500.

Re: Results (AND DISCUSSION) of Edge Spot Configuration Votes

maybe we should decide if we want to use different spots for all or not. i'd personally say not, but ican deal with either. i just think that if shaped inlays are going to be used, we'll already have plenty of variety. if we don't want to do different spots for all, i'd suggest keeping #9 and #16 since they were clearly the top two. then we all vote for our favorite 2 or 3 out of the six that tied with 12 votes (#1,#3,#4,#10,#11, and #13). if we use 4 or five different egdes, each set-up (cash, low end tourney, high end tourney) could have its own spots. for exaplme, the $5 could have the same spots as the $1000 since they wont be in play together. just a thought. i'll post my idea in a minute.
