Re: Results (AND DISCUSSION) of Edge Spot Configuration Votes

I fully agree with Sidepot's cash-game concern; let the cash-gamers have a fancy set too. And I don't even play cash games.

The ONLY reason a casino makes plain .25 chips is because the chips are actually worth .25. Why would they spend .45 cents making a chip that is a cheque for .25? We don't have that predicament.

Rearranging chips by complexity baffles me. Must be some kind of evolutionary holdover; or perhaps just a throwback to organizing favorite marbles in pre-school.

Frankly, I think a would be perfect for a $1000. Why? Because yellow chips look SWEET with big blocks of heavily contrasting color (blue, navy, light blue, red, whateva). Does that follow a progression? no.

Good point.

Don't forget these chips will have colors not just the black, white and grey.

So...my first suggestion - simplify.
I can't say it better than this.

21player - this looks pretty good.

Anyone else out there want to step up and throw out a full line-up? Winning spots or not - I don't care.

Lend us your genius!

Re: Results (AND DISCUSSION) of Edge Spot Configuration Votes

Looks good demars45. Thanks for the submission.

No matter what your feeling on the process at this point (or the pace up until this point), keep in mind that in only 6 days things will really start moving! If we can't come up with a perfect solution that everybody can get behind, I'm more than ready to make an executive decision on the default edge spots and progression to get this thing to the fun part (with prizes and bragging rights).

Get ready with your color submissions!

Re: Results (AND DISCUSSION) of Edge Spot Configuration Votes

This is what I would like to see. It relies on Sidepot's 95% chance of getting true inlays. I looked at the inlay standard for each denomination and then put what I thought was the best edgespot with the corresponding inlay. I also tried to keep some cohesivness with similar edgespots grouped together. I would really like to see the $1, with the round inlay have no edgespots, but Sidepot sounded very much against that so I picked the next best thing in my opinion. The chips order is as follows

.25 $1 $5 $25
$100 $500 $1000 $5000

Let me know what everyone thinks. I would really want to see those inlays become a reality.

Clayton
