Protégé Stage 3 - Tweaking the Set

This set is what was voted by all as the most liekly to succeed. It's not everyone's favorite (that's not possible) but it also is not final.

Which of the chips in this set need the most tweaking? For either colors, We'll try to work on those first. This is an informal vote, just to see what needs the most work.

So the chips get tweaked before an inlay is chosen?

Re: Protégé Stage 3 - Tweaking the Set

FWIW I can't even vote I dislike this set so much.

The $1's good, the $500's ok and the 25c if rest were awesome i could live with barely.

I know your asking for the ONE that needs the most but it's 5-6 for me

Re: Protégé Stage 3 - Tweaking the Set

What we really need is to vote on the best chip with each body color...nevermind, this would be impossible. Think about the black chip for example, how would we get all those in one place just to pick one? Not even possible.

So maybe we should vote for the best ASM group buy personal chips once they all are finished and let the top five or ten vote getters design these chips for a vote?

Now I have another idea....let's just copy the Palmas, President New Yorkers and Vineyard edge spots and colors and go from there?

You can choose multiples.

Re: Protégé Stage 3 - Tweaking the Set

Chip #1 25¢ - Beige and brown don't say class to me. Like the pattern, but would change to grey with plum (see the 25¢ chip here http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/custom...stom-asms.html)

Chip #4 $25 - The green and plum is just ok, but the arc yellow doesn't go with either.

Chip #7 $1,000 - This chip says Lucky Bee to me.

Chip #8 $5,000 - Dark brown, light brown, and beige - I'm just not a fan of three shades of the same color on the same chip. Especially when the 25¢ has the same colors.

The rest I like or could at least live with.

Re: Protégé Stage 3 - Tweaking the Set

I voted for #5/black. I actually like that chip, but the high contrast with those bright pink edgespots just don't fit with the rest of the set.

I also voted for #8, as I agree with FL70 on that one.
I'd like to see a different green for the body of #4.

Re: Protégé Stage 3 - Tweaking the Set

Can someone assign numbers to the chips? Are we going left to right then down and back to the left or up down/up down or some other variant.

I don't want to vote for the wrong one...

Re: Protégé Stage 3 - Tweaking the Set

I voted for the same 4 chips as FL70 (before reading his post), for just about the same reasons.
