Re: Protégé Stage 3 - Tweaking the Set

Anybody else think the triple spots in general are just a bit too busy/gaudy for a set that is supposed to exude class/luxury? I think I'd want them on one chip at most, and think about bringing some of the other "cleaner" patterns in (such as [4 1/4 w 1/4] and [4 1/2 w 1/4]).

The White spot on every chips makes it look like an optical illusion. I do not like a white spot on every chip!

I agree, that's not working. What happened to the progression for the black chip? Things go backwards now!
Sorry to sound so negative, but this needs more than just "tweaking". It's a good start, but I think it's even further away than it was before. Although, I do like your .25 chip. Simple, not too messy.

People are probably going to flame me to death, but I'm going to repost my colour scheme on your original spot progression (except for the .25/NCV white chip).

Any takers?

Re: Protégé Stage 3 - Tweaking the Set

Understood.

As far as progressions go here was my first stab at making edgespots make sense as they go up, except for the last NCV chip.

IGNORE THE COLORS, just look at the edgespots and tell me if this progression makes more sense to ya'll.

Of course you will note that I have a "thing" for white edgespots, and these colors don't scream opulence or class, but I thought the edgespots at least had a decent progression, no?

Re: Protégé Stage 3 - Tweaking the Set

Maybe a moderator could step in and let us know what, in God's name, is going on in this phase. Are we seriously determining an order in which to tweak the chips? Will all the chips be tweaked? Does tweaking mean a complete restart? And then, will the tweaking continue after an inlay is chosen?
I hate to be a whiner...but I'm having trouble seeing the utility. In truth, these are complete reworks.
Anyone?

I feel your pain...

I'm just trying to figure out what constitutes a "tweak" myself.

I figure if we fire enough bullets out there, one of 'em's gonna hit something.

Re: Protégé Stage 3 - Tweaking the Set

I belive a moderator did step in - and he asked you to take part in a poll. Posting total redos and such was not what he asked for. This has caused some confusion.....IMO.

A poll for which chips people disliked the most. Thanks for clearing that up.

That is why I posted a "tweak" of my set here:
