I would absolutely not buy any other chip here no matter what the inlay looked like IMHO. Not even if they were .10 each. I just can't get into these at all for the most part. |

Chips: 577 | | | Re: Protégé Stage 2 - Color/Edge Vote D I am under the impression (have been all along) that we are voting more along the lines of overall design rather than colors, no? I tried to keep that in mind, as I don't care for the overall color scheme of either set.

So far, these two sets have garnered the top number of votes (out of three rounds of voting), regardless of whether or not YOU like them, some people around here might. All this negative feedback probably could have been put to good use a few rounds ago... Anyways, I'm not sure what we're going for here, I just know that I like #1. |

No offense meant, but I think it's just beyond hideous. I've got to agree 100% with noelsarchs' post. Hope something changes to get me interested in these chips again. |

And I still don't like them and see no need to just sit back and give up just because these two received the most votes.
There are just way too many variables to properly judge one from the other and I did not do a lot of campaigning to get votes either.
And I've been a designer for over 30 years and have entered a number of local and international design competitions in my time which is why I see this competition format/process as less than ideal. |

We can tweak the colors ina couple of days, but what we want is a general idea of what the group wants for a theme, and then the inlay artists can build an inlay.
We want all the colors to remain the same during inlay submissions, so as not to give anyone an unfair advantage by choosing different colors. In the later phases of the Inlay Stage, the artists can tweak colors, but not at the beginning. |

Chips: 1,033 | | | Re: Protégé Stage 2 - Color/Edge Vote D I like set #2. However, I do not like the tan chip - edgespots are fine, but colors ... no? What's more, I prefer the red chip from set #1 to the red from set #2. Other than that... #2 is fine. |

Chips: 494 | | | Re: Protégé Stage 2 - Color/Edge Vote D My vote goes to #2. I just like the progression of the edgespots more than #1. I guess we will be tweaking the colours in the future so that is not an issue at the moment.
