OK I was wrong about the red. They are the same, (better monitor here at work not my $250 eBay laptop at home) and the base color purple (for lack of a better word) on #1 is preferable to me. Perhaps the brighter edgespots bring out the color a little more, but #2's looks kinda like a "dingy" purple to me.

Ehhhh, to each his/her own.

I guess I just prefer bright and exciting chips over subdued "mature" colored ones, lol. From that perspective, I prefer set #1, but in reality it is like voting for a President: Which one (in your eyes) is the lesser of two evils, heh.

Yeah its definitely a muted, grayish violet. It could be a shade brighter.

Re: Protégé Stage 2 - Color/Edge Vote D

One reason General Motors is heading toward bankruptcy is that they have a design committee that has to approve every car. If two dozen people have to approve of a design, it's always going to be a muddled, watered down mess that no one loves.

Let's just get this moving to the next stage.

agreed...set 2 has a very defined edge-spot progression...your white chip i do love and its bold edgespots work with the what you submitted, but alas that chip wouldn't work in set 2.
but it's still a cool looking chip

ps-when do we move on to the next step?

Re: Protégé Stage 2 - Color/Edge Vote D

I think that the color progression is better in group #1, so I picked #1.
# 2 has a better edgespot progression but it takes to long to get to the 3 stripes.
Over-all #1
