I choose to keep the Casino color theme going with the $5000. It would be silly to get all the colors matched and not choose the classic "Chocolate Chip".

so, here's my idea for spot progression, done in black and shades of gray.
first 4 chips- tri-spotted; 2nd 4 chips- quad-spotted
first 2 chips- single color; next 5 chips- 2 colors, 8th chip- 3 colors

I like how it looks in black and white, but when you add colors I think it will break down. |

If you've read "The professor, the banker & the suicide King" then you'll see the chip references to the white 'flag' and the dark red 'cranberry'.
The red 5/cranberry 5000 is a subtle repetition of color and denomination. This also is evident in the white $1000 'flag' (since white is usually the ). | I see what you're saying and persnally don't thinks it such a bad idea, but I don't think that for promoting it commercially it's such a great idea and most likely Sidepot would veto it relative to an 8-color set. To be clear - I'm not saying we shouldn't consider it, just that we shouldn't spend too much time considering it. |

I also believe that getting edgespots down woul dhelp tremendously with 50 billion people submitting 5-20 submissions a piece. |

| Concern noted. However, I think the only reason a chip would be vetoed is because the colors and edgespots would exactly match another 'real casino' chip, not becasue a general color scheme is followed.
In this case, the white and cranberry chips are just white and red chips. If the edgespots are unique, then it should be all good. |

I'm seeing a lot of use of the light blue, dolphin blue, etc. I like how some of them look, but I'm concerned about how well that fits in with the overall "feel" the set is supposed to have. It's class, luxury, opulence. To me, the darker colors do a better job of selling that feel while the brighter colors lend themselves more to a "fun" set I guess.
