Chips: 1,925 | | | Re: Protégé Stage 1 - Master Thread - General Discussion BC I think the denoms are already set, I doubt enough people out there will buy a $2 or $10 chip.
But yes, standard-ish colours (at least on the $5 - $500) is a must for me too.
As is a nice edgespot progression. I think CnC did it really well with the Samurais. |

One question somewhat unrelated to the contest itself, what is the timeframe for all this to take place, as I may save some cash in anticipation of getting a set of these at the discounted price. |

Also agree on colors possibly sticking to "standard" casino colors. Boring to some I know but I guess I fall into the traditionalist mold here. | From the contest rules:
4. There will be 8 denominations (tentatively) – These will be 25 cent, $1, $5, $25, $100, $500, $1000, and $5000. An additional two denomination choices will be considered if the Participants collectively deem them desirable.
So there's at least a small opening for the possibility of a $2 and $10 chip. Doesn't matter to me in any case, but I suspect we might have some lobbying for these, possibly a $2.50 and there might be some push for a $10,000 I guess. |

I understand we are supposed to roundtable the checks we like. Does anyone know some graphic intensive websites that show a lot of casino chips? | I'll ask for PMS numbers.
Re: Chip Picture Intensive Sites: I'm sure you'll get plenty of responses to this. I urge you though, if you use someone's images please do them the courtesy of linking it back to them. That's true everywhere here, not just today. |

Funny as it was, I understand that the-company-that-shall-not-be-named (TCTSNBN) has now decided to restrict inlay shapes to round. As a Samurai buyer, I sure as hell hope so anyway
On chip edge progression - I have mixed feelings....I think the Samurai progression works well, and I seem to remember the High Rollers were good too, but that new Paulson set looks a little odd to me.
The other problem that I have is that the simpler denoms still need to be great looking chips (see Samurai 25c) to allow cash players, or T1000 players to get hold of great designs, rather than just having a spectacular $5000 chips that only T10000 users can use (or Doyle Brunson in his friendly Sunday evening $10000/$20000 pot limit game I guess) .
Looking forward to the competition. |

Chips: 9,391 | | | Re: Protégé Stage 1 - Master Thread - General Discussion Do we have an option to make some of the edgespots the same as the primary chip color?
This will allow assymetrical edgespots (see the samurai .25), and also let us "create" new patterns (2 1/2 + 2 1/4, make the 1/4" spots the same as the primary chip color = 2 1/2).
