The only nit-picky suggestion I would make on the design is to bring the fleur-de-lis on the reverse side up just a touch. As they stand they're really barely visible at all.

Congrats on making the FF.

Thanks all, I plan on making some subtle revisions - FL70, your comment was one of them, thank you for noticing that!

I'd also like to post a couple of options on spot changes and colour changes. Hopefully nothing too drastic, but a few things that I hope will even out the set. Keep an eye out for some upcoming changes!

Once again, thanks for all the support throughout the competition - it's greatly appreciated!

So here's the first of what could be many revisions! For now, I'm just going to focus on spot & colour changes. I'm not sure that I'm improving all that much, but I thought I'd take a stab at making the line work a little harder as a group. I may in fact revert to the spots originally chosen, but thought it would be valuable to look at some alternates.

Here's the design as it was:

FRONT

BACK

And here's a revised spot/colour choice for a few of the chips:

FRONT

BACK

#1 I'm not sure if this spot pattern is even a possibility, but I wanted to simplify the 25˘ chip even further by reducing the number of spots, that way it doesn't seem to mimic the $1 as much.

#2 I've changed the spot colour on the $5 to make it "pop" a little more. The mustard was really good though, and I may end up changing it back. Please let me know what you think.

#3 The $25 needed to change, as I felt the spot pattern was too similar to the $1000. I find this to be much more appealing.

#4 One of the early submissions for the $100 that I really liked. Sorry boon!

#5 Probably the most radical change. Comments?

#6 Originally, I thought that the $1000 Canary was too much yellow. But it's grown on me, now that I've changed the spot colours. The red & blue was a little simple, and made the chip stick out like a sore thumb. This version (I think, anyway) integrates itself better into the set. There may be too much browns in the upper two denoms now though. It's up for discussion!

I haven't made any changes to the NCV chip as of yet, but I'd like to see a different spot pattern and potentially a different base colour. However, the Arc Yellow does look pretty awesome.

That's it for now, I eagerly await your collective wisdom!

Those changes look good to me but I thought the colors were decided.

Never mind I forgot to read again before commenting. SORRY

I like the way you think on the $1000. Might I suggest adobe and black spots.

I'm not a fan of the coral/salmon/whatever on either the $5 or $500. For the $5 I'd either go back to mustard or possibly consider purple.

The contrast between the colr and edge on the $5 doesn't say
"pop" to me. I'm in the mustard camp. The $500 needs at least one
lighter edge spot, but I could see yours growing on
people with time. Your $25 and $1K are very nice. Subtle improvements
on good basic chips. However, I am a fan of the original $100 chip, but I appear to be in the minority.

I think that’s all you really need. Maybe try to bring out more chip and spot color on the inlay.

Not sure how you go about that (if I had any artistic ability, I’d have an entry in this race).

There are a few of us sticking up for the original $100 here and there. Considering it won the voting stage, maybe it's just a vocal minority that doesn't like it...?

I agree the $25 is a nice change.

The 25c change is good for variety, but I'm not so sure it's important to have a more plain chip for it. Especially for a home set; cash game folks might like at least a little bit of snap in their set. It's already pretty plain with the off-white color, I'm not sure removing edge spots is a good idea. But it's still nice to differentiate it from the $1. How about leaving the 25c and going to a variation of 3-spot pattern on the $1 (since the $5 already is a 3-spot pattern)?

I agree. It doesn’t necessarily need to be plain, just different.
