Protege Sweet Six (6 remain after round 2)

Two big upsets in round two of the inlay voting. Number 6 seed JM goes down to a last minute entry by X-Files, and chip design legend Johnny5 at a number 5 seeding gets upset by VegasMike.

Round 3 voting will commence shortly. Here are the matchups (based upon top remaining seed versus lowest remaining seed):

5 (Magus_23) vs 20 (VegasMike)
1 (imthatguy) vs 22 (X-Files)
3 (JumpingJack) vs 13 (Fins)

Here are these six remaining competitors (from highest to lowest seed):

So are true punched shaped inlays going to happen or not? I for one am going to be royally pissed if they don't, since I know I lost votes by going against the grain and using standard round inlays.

Bet on it JM. Remember, I've publically stated a 99% confidence.

I've heard similar confident claims from those in even higher positions, so a public statement like that doesn't really do much for me. Hopefully this time it will prove out.

Magus_23 was a #1 seed, but was entry #5... Imthatguy was entry#1...

Seems like you have the seeding and the entry number mixed-up.

Or are the numbers their entry number not their seeding number.

Nevermind.

Yeah, it's a little confusing. I don't really refer to their seeding #'s anywhere but behind the scenes. The numbers on each image is their entry number that's been carried with them since initial submission.

I've kind of gotten attached to being contestant #5. I may stick with that even after this whole thing's over.
