EPIPHANY CONTEST RULES:
- Eligibility is open
to all ChipTalk Members - The
participation in the Contest is open to all new and existing ChipTalk
Members. This includes anyone with a ChipTalk.net user name. No more than
one design submission to each of the three stages (chip track design stage,
rolling edge design stage, and the final overall chip design stage) of the
Contest is allowed per person.
- A generic style
design is preferred for all three Contest stages
- Generic, in this context, simply means not having a fantasy theme. The
only prevalent theme should be that of luxury, style, opulence, or something
signifying high class.
3.
Full and exclusive rights to design submissions belong to Sidepot –
By submitting a design to the Contest, Contestants are giving the rights to
their design to the Contest sponsor, Sidepot. The full and exclusive rights of
all design submissions will remain the property of Sidepot, and may be utilized
for any business purpose at the sole discretion of Sidepot.
4.
The Contest will consist of 3 stages – The first two stages are
intended to create a wide selection of chip track and rolling edge designs,
which will be loaded into a ceramic chip design tool that can be used by all
contestants, regardless of their design sophistication level, to compete in the
final stage, the overall chip design stage.
- Stage 1: Chip
track design phase – Following
a public discussion of the likes and dislikes of existing ceramic chip
track design, there will be a call for Contestant submissions. All
seconded Contestant submissions will go onto the voting rounds, where a
winning design will be chosen by a series of face-offs. A prize will be
awarded to the winning Contestant, and a large sample of the top
finisher’s designs will be added to the chip design tool.
- Stage 2: Chip
rolling edge design phase –
Following a public discussion of the likes and dislikes of existing
ceramic chip rolling edge design, there will be a call for Contestant
submissions. All seconded Contestant submissions will go onto the voting
rounds, where a winning design will be chosen by a series of face-offs.
A prize will be awarded to the winning Contestant, and a large sample of
the top finisher’s designs will be added to the chip design tool.
- Stage 3: Overall
chip design phase – After a
brief delay necessary to get the best designs from Stages 1 and 2 into
the chip design tool, there will be a call for Contestant submissions
for the overall chip design phase, which will be submitted privately to
both Sidepot and a ChipTalk administrative representative. Design
submissions may use the existing track and rolling edge designs, or
their own new designs at the discretion of each Contestant. Once all
design submissions are collected, there will be a simultaneous
unveiling. All seconded Contestant submissions from this unveiling will
go onto the voting rounds, where a winning design will be chosen by a
series of face-offs. A prize will be awarded to the top three
Contestants, and, at Sidepot’s sole discretion, a large sample of the
top finisher’s designs may be made available to the general public for
their own custom chips via Sidepot’s website. Additionally, any new
track and rolling edge designs unveiled for the first time in this final
stage may be added to the chip design tool and made available to the
general public for their own custom chips via Sidepot’s website.
