What does NVC stand for? "No Value Chip"? "Nevada (NV) Casino"? "Not Very Clear".

Interesting chip design and very unique I think! The $100 the 1 is hard to read on the denom. I would look into fixing that.. and like J said... what is NVC? Maybe the traditional NCV would work better? lol

Re: Epiphany Contest #2: Extraholes

I'd agree - moving all the text into the lower right quadrant might help. Very 50's/60's retro cool design. I might try reducing the saturation on the inlay as well if you do want an overlap to bring out a contrast to the denominations and emphasize the outer edge? Just a thought.

Re: Epiphany Contest #2: Extraholes

Great idea, I just don't know that it will work for the general chip market. Might be too unique and progressive with all the irratic color patterns. In any event I think the denominations need to be more dominant. Your eye is drawn to so many different places on this chip, the denom needs to stand out more.

My two cents.

One of my favorite race track designs of phase 1.
Suggestions
1. Bolder Text on the denoms
2. NCV
3. The text colors don't contrast well with a couple of colors.

Re: Epiphany Contest #2: Extraholes

I think because the track design is busy, the center of the chip should be simplified. The 3 circles distract from the nice colors and pattern on the track design. I would try it without the circles, maybe just 1 or 2 colors.

Re: Epiphany Contest #2: Extraholes

Thanks for all the help, Will change NVC to NCV and try to make it a little more bold text. I did create the design to work with sidepot's tool, a person can do one color or three colors. Will look at a few different inlays and will post a couple here for everyone. Once again, thanks for all the help!

Good luck to any playing at the WSOP.

Re: Epiphany Contest #2: Extraholes

OK, here we go.

So I did just a couple, bigger text and smaller dots. I know that we should use the tools colors, do not know if we can lighten the colors, if we can, I will try that next. I will make the text more uniform when I get the finish product. I am thinking of removing the bottom dot and making the text fill up the whole bottom, like this.

Tell me if I am close

Thanks

Re: Epiphany Contest #2: Extraholes

OK eveyone, here is the new look, thanks for all the help.

I removed one of the dots and enlarged the type. Plus, moved the stained glass look to the side to get more room for the denomonations. So, any thing els to change, like the colors?

Thanks again

Extraholes
