Casino Paulson Chips found in a Garage Sale

I'm a sucker for a garage sale.
I'm rolling through the neighborhood the other day and I see a big sign for a garage sale. I decide to take a drive by and check it out. There looked to be a few items of interest that got me to park the car and take a closer look. While looking at what I got out to look at (box of tools, and old antique type stuff that was no longer of interest to me) I figured I'd poker around at anything else they might have that would be of interest to me. I come across this hard type plastic case, much like would be used for guns or camera equipment or something. I had one myself, so I went over and looked at it. I go to grab it and it's very very heavy. Hmmm, I think, I wonder what is inside. I flip it open and WOW... to my surprise are a load of chips. 1000 to be exact from a casino that has been closed for quite a few years. I look around to see if anyone else sees what I'm looking at there is no one. I close the case back up and take it up to the folks who's garage sale it is and ask "how much for the case / and the stuff inside" to which he replies, "Oh, those old chips? $50 bucks" I jam my fist into my pocket faster than Smuckers and pull out $20's and tell him, "I only have $20's, will you take $40?" He thinks about it for a minute and says "Sure, $40 is a deal". I inquire, "Do you have any others?" and he tells me that he thought he had more but doesn't know where they / couldn't find them. He said he thought he had another case of “Yellow ones” and that if I wanted to check back with him in a week or two, he'll try and find the other case. I hand over two twenskies trying to contain my enthusiasm and start making tracks out of there and thank him for a great deal.

They are Paulson Hat and Cane.
Qty 1000
Don't know the age. I'd guess 20 to 30 years old.
Still doing some research on when the Camino Casino was up and running in the Sacramento area.

See pictures for more details:

You lucky bastard

I'm sure this will lead to every Chiptalker stopping at every garage sale they see for the next few weeks.

Wow, what a find! You're pretty damn lucky. Hopefully you're able to get the yellow ones the guy thinks he has around, too!

The chips look well-used, but I'm sure they'd look great with a little cleaning.

I'm so jealous.

If you end up with those yellows, maybe a trade for 300 blues and 100 yellows in exchange for my 400 Casino at Sea Chipcos?
