Aviation Club de France Chips Revealed!

Here's the one chip I was able to get from ACF when I was there last week. Looks like Bud Jones, does anyone care to confirm that for me?

Heh, that was taken the day BEFORE I went in to play. I would've gotten escorted out dressed like that!

Close guess on a BJ chip, but not quite.

That is a B&G chip, definitely made in France (in Beaune, the wine country).

B&G (Bourgogne et Grasset) is the company that bought Paulson and Bud Jones and created the casino conglomerate GPI -- Gaming Partners International. http://www.gpigaming.com/

Their decal chips are made differently from BJs, but feel almost the same. They are injection molded from a plastic material that is not quite as "rubbery feeling" to me. They have a little more textured finish, too. And they would be 40mm in diameter vs. BJ's 39mm. Compare this chip to any others you have from a U.S. casino and it will probably be a little bit bigger.

Nice chip, though. And looks like a neat place. Thanks for the info.

Wow, thanks Tomb1, you really did your homework. Upon closer inspection, the chip has the "BG" logo in the bottom corner. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
