Found that on ebay yesterday, the bid WAS at $9.90 with 6 days left. Now it's at $849(reserve met). Wow, someone really wants those BAD. Would have been nice to have if the price had stayed low enough

The problem with getting a set of Dunes, is that I would be afraid to play with them... Too much of an investment!

(Plus, I bet they assemble sets out of crummy, rounded edge chips...)

I just got a nice, uncirculated sample set of those. They're very nice and it would be sweet -- but cost-prohibitive -- to have a complete set.

You can get these on Spinettis web site too. Somehow they must have bought a ton of these chips as they have had them available for quite some time now. If you search e-bay frequently you will see auctions from them quite often. There are others too trying to sell Dunse chips.

Another problem with them is that the $1 chips are much harder to find so it is a hard/very expensive to put together a set with more than 3 denominations.

I'll have to admit though, they are sweet!

$2400 for an uncirculated 600 chip set (300 $5's, 200 $25's, 100 $100's)

I know there are probably some high-rollers here in the group that could afford this, but $2400 for a set of 600 goes into my "cost-prohibitive" file.
