Palais de Congress in Montreal, Canada (Closed)

Just showing off my chips I'm not sure the history of these, my searches tell me that the Palais de Congress is something like a convention center in Montreal and that CPIAAQ is the Center for the Promotion of Agriculture and Agribusiness in Quebec (not exactly, I don't know French)

Wow! What a bunch of good looking chips. Maybe someone from Montreal can tell us the history.

Beautiful chips man, I'm jealous. You got all the shaped inlays that I WANTED to get on my new Paulsons. we did a group buy recently and went in on a hige set, and they wouldn't let us have shapes.

How many do you have?

I have 1050, half I got from Nevada Jacks in '03. The other half from eBay in '04. Whats funny is that when I bought them from NJ, they were on SALE.

edit: here's the link without pictures. I used the "wayback machine" from Archive.org. its interesting to see what chips cost before it got crazy....

OMG, the wayback machine is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I just looked up a company webpage I created in 1995, and I almost laughed my ass off.

I sold my shares in 1996 but apparently they still had the same site up in '97: http://web.archive.org/web/199702041...tp://ccom.net/

Was I an HTML guru or what?!

Ya. At our home games, it's equivalent to a $10 dollar chip in the US.

Oh man, I bid on some of those $10 chips a little while ago. These chips are fantastic, simple graphics, great colour schemes, and close enough to remember. Never went there, closed before I was of age, but you're right on in terms of the name and location. I think i even made a posting about these, let me see if I can find it...

Hmm, can't find it anywhere. There's a chance that I posted to 2+2, but couldn't find it there either. Great chips, wish I had 'em. If anyone sees these anywhere for sale, pm me!

There they are...

Lol, hilarious. My home game this week, my father-in-law was visiting and all he had was US dollars. We took them at par!

I love the edgespots and different inlay shapes on these chips, nice set!

Can I borrow that way back machine and get someone to sell me 500 Paulson actual casino chips for $300?
